A preliminary 2025 Project NANDA report described 95% of organisations in its research as getting no return from GenAI investment. It distinguishes individual productivity gains from measurable organisational financial impact. This is not a universal failure rate: the research had a short observation period, selection bias and inconsistent success measures.
